The Infamous Masterson’s , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my most recent experience at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I found behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .

From the moment I entered , it was clear that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The floorboards were filthy, and a nauseating aroma of old alcohol and uncleaned toilets polluted the entire bar . With a smell of a mixture of excrement , old age and illness . The main bar, which should be the primary feature of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and refuse that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The toilet was in even worse condition —overflowing , with a cracked flush mechanism and walls covered in what I can only assume was feces.
It wasn’t just a single bad experience either. As I looked into it more , I was alarmed to find allegations against him involving predatory behavior , with multiple women alleging that he of sending indecent material . Described as overly aggressive and inappropriate , his behavior has created an unwelcoming setting for women who patronize Masterson’s. His presence at the bar often resembled that of a sweating predator than a friendly owner .
